Russia Allocates 25bln Rubles for Treatment of COVID-19 Patients in Regions

Additional funds in the amount of 25 billion rubles for the fight against coronavirus, the allocation order of which was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, will go to regional budgets within 30 days. This was announced on Saturday by the press service of the Cabinet.

“Some 25 billion rubles will be allocated for the treatment of citizens who have been diagnosed with a new coronavirus infection. <…> Financing will go to regional budgets within 30 days,” the statement read.

It is noted that the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of Russia was appointed responsible for handling the funds.
