State procurement from sole providers in the Arctic increased by 37 percent in 2020 compared to 2019, according to the press service of the RTS Tender online platform, Arctic.ru reports.
“The top five industries when it comes to the guaranteed maximum price of contracts in 2020 included buildings and construction projects (132 billion rubles, down 40 percent year on year), manufacturing products (79 billion rubles, down 53 percent), transportation and warehouses (14.8 billion rubles, up 50 percent), real estate services (9.7 billion, up 53 percent), and financial and insurance services (9.3 billion rubles, a new top five entry),” the press release says.
The total value of state procurement contracts for the provision of products and services to federal and municipal bodies of power in the Arctic amounted to 277 billion rubles.
Contracts for the procurement from sole providers are signed with legal entities or individuals without a tender. The already mentioned data includes the Murmansk Region, the Nenets, Chukotka and Yamal-Nenets autonomous areas, as well as several municipal districts of Karelia, Komi, Arkhangelsk Region, Krasnoyarsk Territory and Yakutia.
