Sheremetyevo International Airport has summed up the results of production activity for July and seven months of 2021.
The number of passengers served since the beginning of the year amounted to 15 million people, which is 33.6% higher than the same indicator of the previous year.
Passenger traffic in July reached 3 million 633 thousand people, which is 149.1% more than in the corresponding period of 2020, the airport’s press service reported.
At the end of July, Sheremetyevo again confirmed the status of the most punctual airport in Europe and the second most punctual airport in the world in the Global Airports category according to the results of the rating of the Cirium aviation agency – for the third month in a row. The departure punctuality rate was 93.99%.
For seven months of 2021, the airport provided 124,484 takeoff and landing operations (VPO). The number of HPOs in July amounted to 25,484, which is 99.4% more than in the previous year.
The number of passengers on international airlines (MVL) in January-July reached 3 million 521 thousand people, on domestic airlines (IDL) – 11 million 480 thousand people.
In July, passenger traffic on the international line amounted to 1 million 22 thousand people. The number of passengers served on domestic flights reached 2 million 610 thousand people, with an increase of 8% over the same period in 2019.
The most popular international destinations in January-July this year were: Antalya, Istanbul, Yerevan, Male, Bishkek, federal – Sochi, Simferopol, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Vladivostok.
The biggest volume of passenger traffic in January-July was provided by Aeroflot, Rossiya, Nordwind Airlines, Ikar, Pobeda, Royal Flight, and Severstal.
