Bitcoin Down More Than 16% to $45,615

Bitcoin during the trading session is down 16.38%, reaching $45,615 according to data from the CoinDesk portal at 14:57 Moscow time released on Tuesday, TASS informed.

As of 15:10 Moscow, the bitcoin rate was at $46,369 (-14.5%).

On February 21, the price of the cryptocurrency exceeded $58,000 updating the historical maximum. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency invented in 2008 by an unknown person or group of people using the name Satoshi Nakamoto. It is a decentralized digital currency without a central bank or single administrator that can be sent from user to user on the peer-to-peer bitcoin network without intermediaries. Bitcoin’s popularity has only peaked in recent years.
