On Thursday, a Russian court said that Twitter had received two fines totaling 7 million rubles ($95,310) for failing to erase unlawful information, Reuters reports.
In recent months, Russia has made moves to control and limit the dominance of social media and technological behemoths.
Later in the day, further penalties are scheduled to be revealed.
