A new heat record was set in Moscow on June 27, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, who noted that the air temperature exceeded +32 degrees by 11:00 a.m. already.
According to Vilfand, the previous record of 32 degrees was set in 2013. In the future, experts do not exclude that new record heat indicators are likely in the Moscow region.
On June 24, temperature highs were already beaten in Moscow. So, the temperature in the capital on this day reached +33.8 degrees, thereby updating the 1948 record.
At the same time, according to the forecast of the leading employee of the “Phobos” weather center, Alexander Sinyakov, at the beginning of next week the heat will subside. By Wednesday, June 30, daytime temperatures are expected to drop to +25 degrees.
