The Russian embassy in Austria has conveyed to the Austrian government information about readiness of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) to produce the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in the country, Russian Ambassador Dmitry Lyubinsky told TASS on Saturday.
“I can confirm that the government of Austria was informed on the initiative of RDIF about opportunities available,” the ambassador said.
Russia is holding negotiations with several Austrian companies on organization of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine production in the country, chief executive of RDIF Kirill Dmitriev said earlier on Saturday on the air with the Austrian radio station O-1.
