Gebr Heinemann Joint Venture Extends Moscow Sheremetyevo Presence With Terminal C Opening

Sheremetyevo Duty Free, the joint venture between Sheremetyevo Airport, Greenway and Gebr Heinemann, has opened a 3,000sq m walk through shop at the new Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport Terminal C. The partners have also opened a 500sq m arrivals shop in the terminal, which was inaugurated last Friday, The Moodie Davitt Report informs.

In the year ahead, Sheremetyevo Duty Free will also open a multi-brand fashion & accessories and watches & jewellery shop and several luxury monobrand boutiques, plus four gate shops in Terminal C. The total retail space upon completion of all stores will reach around 5,500sq m.

Gebr Heinemann Director Sales Eastern Europe Central Asia Oleg Zhytomyrsky said: “This operation is the largest for Gebr Heinemann in the region. We are very excited about this development with our partners and are looking forward to the opening of all shops and boutiques later this year. The new terminal is state of the art for the 21st century; it is very modern, customer-friendly and equipped with many digital elements – and so are our shops.”

Moscow Sheremetyevo’s new Terminal C will serve Aeroflot flights. The transfer to Terminal C will occur gradually over the coming months and be completed by late spring. The terminal can handle 20 million passengers a year, which increases the airport’s overall capacity to 80 million passengers.
