Any original symbol or vibrant, memorable character can become the new Sheremetyevo mascot, the airport’s press service announced. Its mission is to reflect the unique, authentic nature of Sheremetyevo, its rich history and importance for Russian and global commercial aviation.
The airport will award a valuable prize to the creator of the best design. Moreover, the winning project will be featured before a millions-strong audience on the airport’s website and on social media.
Participants must be at least 7 years old. In order to participate, the contestants should send an email to [email protected] with a design project for the mascot, along with a contest application and a consent to personal data processing. Applications are accepted from August 16 to September 20, 2019.
On October 3–10, 2019, a panel of judges will select the ten best projects. The selected projects will be put up for online voting on social media which will take place on October 11–23, 2019. The contest winner will be the individual whose design received the greatest number of user votes. The winner will be announced on October 24.
