Around 50% of Russia Defense Orders Come for Asia-Pacific Region

Around 50% is the share of the Asia-Pacific region in the Russian portfolio of orders of military products, Dmitry Shugaev, a Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation said at the EEF-2021, TASS informed.

Shugaev stated that Russia’s key partners in the military cooperation field in the region are, India, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Bangladesh. These countries account for about half, or 50% of the current Russian export of defense orders.

The 6th EEF-2021 (Eastern Economic Forum) is held in Vladivostok. The forum is held in a combined (hybrid) format with online and in-person events. The main theme of the event is “New Opportunities for the Far East in a Changing World.”
