Roscosmos to Invest $456 Million in Tram System Project at Vostochny Cosmodrome

Roscosmos, the state space corporation of Russia, is planning to invest more than $453 million, along with its partners, aimed at the development of high-speed tram traffic at the cosmodrome in Vostochny and the nearby, TASS informed.

The venture is according to the concept of developing a tram system in the region of Amur.

TASS has obtained a copy of the document, that says that investments are set to be divided equally between Roscosmos with his external partner, the Amur region authorities, and Gazprom.

According to the document $436 million of the project will be capital expenditures and $21 million would go as rolling stock.

All the stakeholders in this process are currently seeking a way to reduce the cost of the project.
