Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated at a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers on Monday that the Russian government expects infrastructure budget loans to become an incentive for the development of Russian regions.
“Infrastructure budget loans have demonstrated their use. The Russian Federation’s subjects are quite interested in them. The number of applications has more than quadrupled the amount that has been approved. We believe that these monies will serve as a motivator for the areas’ continued growth,” Mishustin said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.
He also stated that the government has accepted the Kursk region’s infrastructure financing proposal. The money will be utilized to construct two kindergartens, a water pipeline, and a road.
