Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed ensuring the country’s interests and the security of the Russian financial system in the light of the development of national digital currencies abroad at an operational meeting with members of the Russian Security Council, Russian media outlets reported.
“I propose to start with today’s agenda. We will talk today about ensuring our interests and the security of the Russian financial system in relation to the development of national digital currencies in the world’s leading states. These are serious issues that require careful professional consideration,” Putin said.
