After the economic recovery phase, which is almost complete, it is important that there is no pause, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, speaking on Tuesday at the congress of the United Russia party.

Putin President stressed that the country is on the right track, almost everything has been done in terms of recovery, Russian media reported.

Currently, the unemployment rate in Russia is about 5 percent, and it continues to decline, the head of state said.

He also called on United Russia to pay more attention to supporting farmers, developing fairs where you can sell your products without intermediaries. “The implementation of these measures will also have an impact on reducing food prices,” Putin said.

Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov earlier stated that the Russian economy is developing at a faster pace than originally expected. The budget surplus is growing, and the Cabinet may reduce the volume of government borrowing.
