Russia Registered Record 652 COVID-related Deaths In One Day

The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia increased by 652 per day against 611 a day earlier, this is the maximum value since the beginning of the pandemic, TASS reports.

A total of 134,545 people died from the infection, the federal anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Tuesday.

The conditional mortality (the final one can be determined only after the end of the epidemic) remained at the level of 2.45%, follows from the data of the headquarters.

In particular, 119 deaths were registered per day in St. Petersburg, 27 – in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 21 – in the Republic of Buryatia and the Irkutsk region, 18 – in the Krasnodar Territory.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection increased by 20 616 per day, to 5 493 557. In relative terms, the increase in the number of cases was 0.38%.

In particular, 2,453 cases were detected per day in the Moscow region (against 2,722 the day before, which was the maximum value since the beginning of the pandemic), 1,374 in St. Petersburg, 336 in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 318 in the Bryansk region, 315 in the Republic of Buryatia.

Currently, 374,975 people are undergoing treatment in Russia.

The number of people infected with coronavirus infection in Moscow increased by 6,209 per day, to 1,352,392. In relative terms, the increase in the number of cases, according to the headquarters, was 0.46%. A day earlier, 7,246 cases were identified.

During the day in Moscow, 121 deaths were registered due to coronavirus against 124 the day before, which was the maximum value since the beginning of the pandemic. Their total number was 22,331, it follows from the message of the headquarters.

After recovery, 4,854 patients were discharged per day, for the entire time, 1,153,145 were cured. Currently, 176,916 people are continuing treatment in the capital.
