Another Western NGO Declared Unwanted in Russia

The Prosecutor General’s Office has ruled the activities of the Belgian NGO International Partnership for Human Rights to be undesirable, according to the agency’s news office, TASS reports.

“After reviewing materials submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office, a decision was made to declare the activity of the international non-governmental organization International Partnership for Human Rights in Russia undesirable” (IPHR, International Partnership for Human Rights, the Kingdom of Belgium), according to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The agency believes that the organization’s activities pose a danger to the basis of the Russian Federation’s constitutional order and security.

The judgment was sent to the Ministry of Justice in order for the group to be included on the list of foreign NGOs designated as undesirable.
