Final Findings of Sputnik V Testing to Be Available in October

The final clinical trial findings for the Sputnik V vaccine will be available in October. The findings of additional Russian vaccination studies will be available by the end of 2021 – early 2022, according to Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko on Friday.

“Today, the observation is being completed; by October, the reports on the Sputnik V vaccine will be ready. For the other vaccines, we are planning for the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, and in the first quarter for CoviVac,” he said live on air as part of a vaccine awareness campaign organized by the Znanie (Knowledge) Society and the national anti – coronavirus campaign. 

The amount of examinations and observations, according to the health minister, is tremendous. “And I am grateful to the medical profession for its long-standing practice of educating us about the progression of post-vaccine phases. I am also grateful to everyone who keeps a self-observation notebook (post-vaccination – TASS). So far, Russia has approved four coronavirus vaccines: Sputnik V, Sputnik Light, EpiVacCorona, and CoviVac.
