The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Russia over the past 24 hours has increased by 22,857, bringing the total to 3,591,066, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told journalists on Monday, TASS reports.
The daily growth was the lowest since January 13 when 22,850 infections were detected. On Sunday, January 17, the crisis center reported 23,586 new infections.
According to the crisis center, the relative growth of new cases has not surpassed 0.7% for three days. The lowest daily growth rates were registered in the Republic of Tuva, the Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Regions (0.2%), in Yamal and the Jewish Autonomous Region (0.3%).
Some 3,287 new cases over the past 24 hours have been detected in St. Petersburg, 1,381 – in the Moscow Region, 479 cases – in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 393 – in the Rostov Region, and 390 cases have been detected in the Sverdlovsk Region.
In all, currently 546,265 patients continue treatment in Russia.
