Russia Records Another 21,513 Coronavirus Cases

Russia’s coronavirus cases rose by 21,513 to 3,677,352 in the past 24 hours, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Friday. According to the crisis center, the number of new daily cases remained below 22,000 for the fourth day in a row.

The coronavirus growth rate stands at 0.6%, TASS reported.

The rate is the lowest in the Nenets Autonomous Region (0.1%), the Tuva Region (0.2%), the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region and Moscow (0.3%).

In particular, 3,104 coronavirus cases were recorded in St. Petersburg in the past day, 1,142 in the Moscow Region, 491 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 391 in the Rostov Region and 385 in the Sverdlovsk Region.

There are currently 527,404 active coronavirus cases in Russia.

Recoveries

Russia has documented 27,318 recoveries from COVID-19, a disease caused by the novel coronavirus, in the past 24 hours, with the total reaching 3,081,536, the anti-coronavirus crisis center informed reporters on Friday.

The share of those recovered reached 83.8% of the total number of confirmed cases.

In the past 24 hours, 5,629 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Moscow, 4,696 in St. Petersburg, 1,247 in the Moscow Region, 531 in the Murmansk Region, 482 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and 402 in the Voronezh Region.

Fatalities

As many as 580 coronavirus deaths were recorded in Russia in the past 24 hours, down from 612 the day before, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Friday. The overall death toll reached 68,412.

According to data from the crisis center, the provisional lethality remains at 1.86%.

In particular, 59 coronavirus deaths were recorded in St. Petersburg in the past day, 38 in the Moscow Region and 19 in the Krasnodar Region. The Rostov and Krasnoyarsk regions reported 26 fatalities each.
