Russia Registers 21,378 New Daily Coronavirus Cases

Russia reported 21,378 coronavirus cases in the last day, bringing the overall number of cases to 6,491,288, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center, TASS reports.

Less than 22,000 coronavirus instances were detected for the first time since June 30. Compared to the previous year, the incidence rate increased by 0.33 percent.

Currently, 536,136 individuals are receiving medical care in the Russian Federation.

There have been 792 more COVID-related deaths in Russia in the past 24 hours than there were the day before, bringing the total up to 166,442.

Currently, the mortality rate is estimated to be 2.56 percent.

Russian COVID-19 cases increased by 18,729, bringing the total number of COVID cases in Russia to 5,788,710. 89.2 percent of all cases were recovered.

There have been 1,639 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Moscow within the last 24 hours. Statistics from the federal anti-coronavirus crisis center show that this is the lowest increase since April 7.

The new infections are increasing at a rate of 0.11 percent comparing to the previous year. 1,530,989 have been infected since the epidemic began.

The death toll has risen by 61 from 59 the day before, bringing the total to 26,309. According to the crisis center, the city has been registering less than 100 deaths per day for 15 days in a row.

There have been 1,395,285 recoveries in the previous 24 hours, up by 3,072. This means that in the capital right now there are 109,395 patients being treated.
