Russia’s coronavirus cases grew by 5,205 in the past 24 hours, the total number of infected people has reached 1,020,310, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday, TASS reported.
According to the crisis center, the daily growth rate does not exceed 0.5% for three weeks in a row.
The lowest daily growth rates were recorded in the Nenets autonomous region (0%), the Moscow region (0.2%), Moscow, the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous region, the Tula and Smolensk regions, Tuva and Chechnya (0.3% each).
Another 671 cases were confirmed in Moscow, 195 in St. Petersburg, 168 in the Moscow region, 154 in the Nizhny Novgorod region and 144 in the Rostov region.
A total of 164,425 people are currently undergoing treatment in Russia.
The number of patients in Russia who have recovered from COVID-19 grew by 5,379 in the past 24 hours, a total of 838,126 people have recovered by now.
According to the crisis center, recoveries have exceeded 82.1% of the total number of infected people.
Another 1,312 patients were discharged in Moscow in the past 24 hours, 234 in the Voronezh region, 216 in the Volgograd region, 127 in the Moscow region and 124 in the Kemerovo region.
Russia’s COVID-19 deaths grew by 110 in the past 24 hours compared to 121 fatalities reported the day before. A total of 17,759 people have died (1.74% of the total number of infected individuals).
Nineteen deaths were recorded in St. Petersburg, 11 in Moscow, while the Voronezh, Sverdlovsk and Novosibirsk regions reported five fatalities each. The number of deaths in another 32 regions did not exceed 4.
