Russia Reports 22,277 New Daily COVID-19 Cases

The anti-coronavirus crisis center told journalists on Friday that Russia has verified 22,277 coronavirus cases in the previous 24 hours, increasing the overall number of cases to 6,557,068, the center said.

Compared to the previous year, the incidence rate increased by 0.34 percent, according to TASS news agency. Presently, there are 539,864 individuals infected in Russia.

In the previous 24 hours, the Russian capital has verified 2,529 new COVID-19 infections, up from 2,294 a day earlier, bringing the total to 1,537,888.

There has been a 0.17 percent increase in new infections in the past year.

There were 59 coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 26,482 or 1.72 percent of those affected in the city.

Three hundred forty-three patients have been discharged from local hospitals in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of people who have recovered to 1,404,879 people in total. Moscow hospitals are currently treating 106,527 patients.

During the past 24 hours, Russia recorded 815 coronavirus fatalities, the greatest number since the epidemic began. The death toll now stands at 168,864.

At least 2.58 percent of COVID19- patients in Russia died, the crisis center statistics have shown.

The number of coronavirus cases in Russia has risen by 19,368 in the previous 24 hours, reaching 5,848,340.

COVID-19 patients in Russia have recovered in 89.2 percent of cases, according to the crisis center’s data.
