Russia Reports Over 10,000 New COVID-19 Cases

Russia’s coronavirus case tally rose by 10,083 in the past day, reaching 4,390,608, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Sunday. In relative terms, the growth rate reached 0.23%, TASS writes.

The lowest growth rates were registered in the past day in the Tuva Republic (0.03%) and the Sakhalin Region (0.04%).

Moscow confirmed 1,905 new COVID-19 cases over the past day. Some 937 COVID-19 cases were recorded in St. Petersburg, 605 in the Moscow Region, 365 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 245 in the Rostov Region and 240 in the Samara Region.

Currently, 303,389 people are undergoing treatment in Russia.

Some 9,232 COVID-19 patients recovered in the past day, and the total number of recoveries hit 3,995,129. According to the crisis center, the total share of recoveries climbed to 91% of all those infected.

Some 1,110 patients recovered in Moscow over the past day. Another 841 patients were discharged in St. Petersburg, 415 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 411 in the Moscow Region, 352 in the Rostov Region, 277 in the Arkhangelsk Region and 255 in the Perm Region.

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 395 in the past day versus 475 a day earlier, and the total death toll hit 92,090. The average mortality rate grew to 2.1%, according to the crisis center.

Some 55 COVID-19 patients died in Moscow over the past day. Another 37 COVID-19 deaths were registered in St. Petersburg, 22 in the Voronezh Region, 21 in the Moscow Region, 15 in the Altai Region and 13 in the Krasnodar and Nizhny Novgorod Regions.
