The State Research Center for Virology and Biotechnology Vector of Rospotrebnadzor has received an updated registration certificate for the EpiVacCorona vaccine, now it can be produced in the form of syringe doses. This was reported to reporters on Tuesday at the scientific center.

The manufacturer said that along with the usual format that comes in ampoules, the EpiVacCorona vaccine is now available in the form of syringe doses. The corresponding changes were made to the registration certificate on June 28, the research center added.

The center explained that the syringe dose is a ready-to-use product that allows you to significantly optimize the vaccination process and makes it as convenient as possible for both the vaccinated and the doctor. When using a syringe dose, one of the stages of preparation for vaccination is missing – a set of the drug in a syringe.

The Vector center explained that this way the possibility of error is completely eliminated and the procedure for vaccination is sped up, which in turn reduces queuing.

EpiVacCorona, developed at the State Research Center for Virology and Biotechnology Vector of Rospotrebnadzor, became the second vaccine against coronavirus registered in Russia, on October 14, 2020.
