According to the airline’s press department, Rossiya aims to obtain permission to operate more flights from Moscow to the Egyptian resort cities of Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, increasing the number of flights to fourteen each week, TASS reports.
“The Rossiya Airline will apply for permission to fly from Moscow to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh within the scope of previously granted licenses to operate 14 flights per week to each location. There are presently five flights per day to each of these cities,” the firm noted.
Permits will also be sought for flights from Russia’s major airports to Egyptian resorts.
The Russian coronavirus response center said earlier today that Russia will triple planned flights to Egypt beginning August 27 from 5 to 15 flights for each route of Moscow – Hurghada and Moscow – Sharm El Sheikh.
