About 2,000 Foreigners Expected to Partake in SPIEF

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which will take place from June 2 to 5, 2021, is expected to attract 2,000 foreign attendees, according to Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov, who spoke to RBC TV on Monday, as Russian agency TASS reported.

The United States, Qatar, and China will have the largest delegations, and around 2,000 foreigners are expected to attend. The greatest delegations are generally from the United States, which has more than 200 individuals, Qatar, which also has more than 200 individuals, and China, which normally has a significant delegation, he stated.

The SPIEF will also feature delegations from Germany, France, and Italy, according to Belousov. The deputy PM also stated that the forum has drawn a lot of attention, because according to him people missed this, adding that foreigners were interested in seeing what is going on in Russia.

On June 2-5, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be conducted in person, in accordance with all pandemic security precautions. This year’s theme for the forum is “Together again. The economy of a new reality.”  There will be almost a hundred discussion sessions.
