Moscow Stock Exchange to List 31 Additional International Stocks

The Moscow Exchange (MOEX) plans to list 31 additional international stocks, including Alcoa Corporation, Fox Corporation, The Hershey Company, and others, on August 2, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

“On August 2, 2021, the Moscow Exchange will allow trading in 31 foreign equities, including Alcoa Corp., Fox Corporation, The Hershey Company, and others. As a consequence, the number of foreign issuers’ shares and depositary receipts eligible for trading on the Moscow Exchange will increase to 204 “According to the statement.

Based on demand from banks, brokers, asset managers, and their clients, MOEX intends to make additional foreign assets available for trading in the future.

On August 24, 2020, the Moscow Exchange began trading in overseas stocks. The securities are traded throughout the regular and after-hours trading hours. Trades are settled in Russian rubles with the help of MOEX’s strong infrastructure, which includes a competent central counterparty and record-keeping with the central securities depository (NSD).
