Kremlin Considers Incident with The British Destroyer a Deliberate Provocation

The Kremlin regrets the incident with the British destroyer in the Black Sea and regards it as a deliberate and prepared provocation. This was announced on Thursday by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov stressed that Moscow considers the actions of the destroyer Defender unacceptable and inconsistent with international law.

Peskov added that Moscow is undoubtedly concerned about such actions of the British ship. And considers such actions inadmissible and inconsistent with international law.

According to him, the Russian border guards and the armed forces will take a rather tough stance if someone tries in the future to arrange provocations like the incident in the Black Sea.
