An AI-based system for analyzing endoscopic tests started to be tested in Moscow at the premises of the S. P. Botkin Moscow City Clinical Hospital, ICT Moscow reported.
Computer vision system studies the image obtained with the help of an endoscope and highlights the pathology in real time, focusing the doctor’s attention on it. To perform such tasks, AI algorithms are trained on thousands of depersonalized and labeled photo and video images.
In the future, the neural network will act as a digital assistant for endoscopists. But the final conclusion on the pathological process and treatment after the tests will be made by the doctor.
