Over the past day in Russia, 9.977 cases of coronavirus were recorded – this is the maximum figure since mid-March. 379 patients lost their lives while 8.883 recovered, Russian media reported.
Most of the infected were detected in Moscow – 3.817 new cases of COVID-19, which is the maximum number of cases since May 14th.
The least number of cases was detected in the Chukotka Autonomous District – one case, and not a single case was recorded in the Nenets Autonomous District.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 140.8 million tests have been carried out in Russia, of which 224 thousand have been carried out in the last 24 hours. According to Rospotrebnadzor, 70% of tests were done free of charge.
Vaccination against COVID-19 in Russia is carried out with four vaccines: Sputnik V, Sputnik Light, EpiVacCorona, and KoviVak.
