The number of coronavirus cases in Russia increased by 23,541 per day. The total number of cases reached 3,332,142, the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus told reporters on Thursday, TASS writes.
In relative terms, according to the headquarters, the increase in new cases is 0.7%.
The lowest growth rates were over the day were detected in Russia’s Republic of Tyva (0.2%), Jewish Autonomous Region (0.3%), Magadan Region, Nenets Autonomous District, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, Republic of Altai, Yakutia (0.4% each).
In particular, during the day 3,005 cases were detected in St. Petersburg, 1,228 – in the Moscow region, 403 – in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 394 – in the Voronezh region, 393 – in the Rostov region.
Currently, 562,233 people are undergoing coronavirus treatment in Russia.
The number of recovered coronavirus patients in Russia increased by 23,729 per day to 2,709,452.
The number of recovered patients per day for the first time exceeded the number of detected cases for the first time since December 31.
The share of people who have already recovered, according to the headquarters, increased to 81.3% of the total number of those infected.
The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia increased by 506 per day against 445 the day before to a total of 60,457.
The conditional mortality of the disease (the final one can be determined only after the end of the epidemic) remained at the level of 1.81%, the headquarters said.
