Russia Registered 601 Coronavirus-Related Deaths in One Day

The number of coronavirus-related fatalities in Russia climbed by 601 per day, compared to 568 the day before. According to data released on Friday by the federal operations headquarters to battle the new illness, this is the highest number since January 21.

According to the headquarters, a new illness claimed the lives of 132,064 persons throughout the country. According to TASS, the disease’s conditional lethality (which can only be established when the outbreak has ended) has maintained at 2.44 percent.

Some 98 persons died in St. Petersburg, 26 in the Republic of Buryatia, 25 in the Nizhny Novgorod area, 19 in the Krasnodar region, 18 in the Sverdlovsk region, and 16 in the Penza region during the day.

The number of coronavirus infections confirmed every day grew by 20,393 to 5 409,088. In percentage terms, the number of cases increased by 0.38 percent.

The number of people who have been treated has grown by 14,024 each day, reaching a high of 14,024 since March 6.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 4,929,639 individuals have recovered. According to the headquarters, the proportion of discharged patients has dropped to 91.1 percent of the total number of infected.

During the day, 1,897 patients in St. Petersburg, 233 in the Voronezh area, 191 in the Sverdlovsk region, 188 in the Arkhangelsk region, and 165 in the Nizhny Novgorod region were discharged following recuperation.
