Russia Reports over 7,800 Cases of COVID-19 in Past Day

The anti-coronavirus crisis center in Russia recorded 7,884 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 5,017,795 cases, TASS reported.

According to the crisis center, new diseases are increasing at a rate of 0.16 percent each year. The Jewish Autonomous Region (0.02%) and the Republic of Tuva had the slowest regular growth rates (0.03 percent ).

In the last 24 hours, 844 new cases have been discovered in St. Petersburg, and 734 new infections have been discovered in the Moscow Area. In addition, 190 new cases were found in the Rostov Region, 148 new infections in the Voronezh Region, and 138 cases in the Nizhny Novgorod Region during this time period.

In the last 24 hours, Russia has reported 8,743 COVID-19 recoveries, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,632,955. The number of patients that have been successfully treated has increased to 92.3 percent of the overall number of cases.

In the last 24 hours, Russia has reported 393 coronavirus deaths, up from 319 the day before. The estimated number of people who have died as a result of the coronavirus has risen to 119,194.

According to the crisis center’s results, 2.38 percent of coronavirus patients in Russia have died.

In all, 265,646 patients are already receiving care in Russia at this time.
