Sheremetyevo Airport’s Terminal B received the prestigious 5-stars rating from the British rating agency Skytrax, RIA Novosti reported.
The award ceremony took place on March 27 in London, as part of the Passenger Terminal Expo. Until recently, the highest rating belonged to only nine airports, one of which is in Europe (Munich Airport), and the rest are in Asia.
According to Anna Zakharenkova, director of public relations at Sheremetyevo Airport, next year the airport will also aim to receive the highest score, after the construction of the new terminal C1.
In the last 10 year, Sheremetyevo has increased the level of service, following the International Council of Airports’ programs. Over the past six years, Sheremetyevo has been recognized as the best-quality service airport in Europe. In 2018, the airport was voted among the best airports in the world, Moskva 24 adds.
