Sheremetyevo Reopens Terminal C with Moscow-Istanbul Flight

On Friday, Sheremetyevo airport reopened its Terminal C, with a flight on the route Moscow – Istanbul. The rest of the international flights will are scheduled for July 24, the airport’s press service said.

The reopening of Terminal C after the renovation was seen as a way to redistribute the flow of travelers, taking into account sanitary requirements, as well as a measure of efficiently servicing renewed flights between countries.

Initially, Sheremetyevo scheduled the reconstruction of Terminal F for 2021, and Terminal C in May 2022.

Terminal C combines the highest level of operations and conceptual architectural and design solutions in the style of Russian constructivism.

Terminal C is merged with Terminal B, which has been awarded 5 stars by the international agency Skytrax. The facilities allow passengers to use the service and technical capabilities of two terminals at once and transfer passengers to move between terminals through the transit zone in a minimum time, which means that the time for connecting and servicing baggage will be reduced to a minimum.
