Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a government order to allocate 74 billion rubles to 34 regions for the construction of 128 schools, the press service of the government said.
“The second stage of selection of projects for the construction of schools in the regions has been completed in Russia. To help the regions implement these projects, the federal center will send over 74 billion rubles there,” the government noted.
“All 34 regions have confirmed their readiness for the forthcoming work. In the coming years, 128 modern schools will be built in these regions and more than 93.7 thousand additional educational places will appear,” the government emphasizes.
In the construction of schools, money is used from the federal and regional budgets, as well as funds from investors.
The first stage of project selection took place in the spring, the government distributed 43.5 billion rubles between the regions for the construction of schools. The next selection stage will take place in late 2021 – early 2022.
