The coronavirus infection is “becoming younger,” with more and more severe cases of the virus’s course being reported in children and teenagers. Vladimir Gushchin, the head of the Gamaleya Center laboratory, revealed this on Tuesday.

Gushchin noted that over time, as researchers noticed, the view virus strains have not changed for the better, but rather they have increased their ability to transmit from one person to the next. As of recently, the new strain is becoming more present in children and teenagers.

COVID-19 infection is now being reported on a regular basis, according to Gushchin. Vaccination is thus the only viable approach to combat a pandemic.
