The lambda strain contains several mutations in the spike protein, making it a more contagious version of COVID-19.
According to doctors, it is recommended to pay attention to symptoms such as high fever, persistent cough, and loss or change in smell and taste: these may indicate the presence of the specified strain of coronavirus.
As noted by the Russian doctor of medical sciences, doctor-immunologist Vladislav Zhemchugov, the lambda strain follows the state natural for the virus. Mechanisms of constant change are programmed in the genome of viruses, genes change with each other along the entire length of the genome, the specialist said.
