Deputy mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova said that more than 500,000 doses of the Sputnik Light coronavirus vaccine have already been received in the capital, which will be used to vaccinate labor migrants and revaccination.

She emphasized that she herself had already done a revaccination with this drug. Also, according to her, people from her environment did the same.

The fact that the Moscow authorities will ensure the purchase of Sputnik Light with a volume of at least 750,000 doses, was announced earlier on Thursday in a resolution of the city government, published on the website of the mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Earlier on the same day, a re-vaccination against coronavirus started in Moscow, which is carried out at 20 points with Sputnik V and Sputnik Light drugs. It is noted that Muscovites can choose any vaccine available at 20 revaccination points.

Sobyanin advised Muscovites not to neglect the repeated vaccination, as, according to him, it is extremely important in the conditions of the spread of a more aggressive strain of the Delta virus, which leads to a more severe course of the disease. The mayor stressed that he had already been revaccinated.

The first series of Sputnik Light went into civil circulation as of June 26. The head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, stressed that the vaccine will be used mainly to vaccinate citizens who have already been ill. He added that the drug is still allowed for use only for citizens under 60 years old.
