Russia Records 9,694 New Cases of COVID-19

The anti-coronavirus crisis center in Russia reported 9,694 COVID-19 cases in the last day, a new high since March 19, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. The growth rate was 0.19 percent relative to the previous year.

According to the crisis center, a total of 5,063,442 persons have been affected since the outbreak began, TASS reported.

Over the preceding day, 7,386 COVID-19 patients were recovered in Russia, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,677,870. According to the crisis center, the percentage of recovered patients remained at 92.4 percent of all individuals infected. 602 patients were released in the Moscow Region, 498 in St. Petersburg, 232 in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), 195 in the Saratov Region, and 152 in the Rostov Region on the previous day.

Russia verified 355 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, compared to 401 the day before, bringing the overall death toll to 121,162. According to the crisis center, the average death rate remained at 2.39 percent. Over the preceding day, 59 COVID-19 fatalities were reported in Moscow, 39 in St. Petersburg, 15 in Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, and Samara, and 12 in the Krasnodar Region.
