The anti-coronavirus crisis center informed reporters on Wednesday that Russia has verified 21,571 coronavirus cases in the preceding day, bringing the total number of cases to 6,512,859 for the year, TASS reported.
The incidence rate increased by 0.33 percent comparing to the previous year.
At the moment, around 536,841 people are being treated for coronavirus in Russia.
In the preceding 24 hours, 799 coronavirus-related fatalities were reported in Russia, up from 792 the day prior. A total of 2,57% of coronavirus patients died across the nation, according to figures from the crisis center.
During the previous 24 hours, the number of coronavirus cases in Russia increased by 20,067, reaching 5,808,777. On average, 89.2 percent of coronavirus patients in the nation have recovered.
