Russia Registers 24,353 New Coronavirus Cases

On Monday, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters that the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Russia grew by 24,353 each day, to 5,635,294.

The number of cases increased by 0.43 percent. In particular, 2,651 instances per day were discovered in the Moscow region, 1,828 in St. Petersburg, 448 in Nizhny Novgorod, 362 in Voronezh, and 340 in the Trans-Baikal Territory.

The number of people who have recovered from the coronavirus has grown by 14,540 each day, bringing the total number of people who have recovered to 5,083,441. According to the headquarters, the proportion of discharged patients has decreased to 90.2 percent of the total number of infected people.

In the Moscow region, for example, 1,939 patients were discharged each day following recuperation, compared to 743 in St. Petersburg, 356 in Voronezh, 295 in Sverdlovsk, and 234 in Vladimir.

In Russia, 413,274 individuals are still receiving therapy.

The number of fatalities climbed by 654 per day to 138,579, up from 663 the day before. According to the headquarters’ statistics, the conditional death rate remained at 2.46 percent (the ultimate rate can only be established once the epidemic is over). Each day, 100 people died in St. Petersburg, 29 in the Irkutsk area, 28 in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 24 in the Republic of Buryatia, and 23 in the Krasnodar Territory.
