The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Russia over the past 24 hours has increased by 25,173, bringing the total to 2,114,502, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Monday, TASS reported.
This is the new record high number of infections in the country. The previous record high of 24,822 detected daily cases was documented on Saturday, November 21.
The lowest daily growth rates were registered in the Republic of Dagestan (0.5%), Kalmykia, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region (0.6% each), the Republic of Mari El (0.7%).
Some 971 new cases of the infection over the past 24 hours were detected in the Moscow Region, 447 cases – in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 389 – in the Sverdlovsk Region, 353 cases – in the Arkhangelsk Region, and 335 cases were detected in the Krasnoyarsk Region.
In all, currently 466,517 patients continue treatment in Russia.
