A new section with information about all charity organizations has been added to the Charity fundraising Mos.ru service.
According to the Department of Information Technologies of Moscow (DIT), this service will allow citizens to learn about ongoing and verified online charity programs of organizations that support people with severe diseases, homeless animals and others in need.
The service has been active since October 2020, when it was launched by the capital’s Department of Information Technology together with the city’s Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy and the support of the Public Chamber of Moscow.
More than 18 thousand donations brought in a total of more than 5 million rubles to the ones in need. The new services provides an option for people to make a transfer to a charitable organization available on the website through My Payments on the mos.ru website.
The charity service also won the international BIG Innovation Awards, which is awarded to organizations and people who put innovative solutions into practice.
Among other significant nominations, the German Innovation Award in the “Information Technology” category notes the professionalism of the service’s technical solution, the DIT added.
