German Ambassador to Russia, Geza Andreas von Geir visited the Yury Gagarin Cosmonaut training center.
During the visit, the German diplomat also showed his respect by laying flowers at the monument to the first cosmonaut of the planet Yuri Gagarin on the territory of Star City.
Ambassador von Geir and his entourage familiarized themselves with the training facility of the Center, after which they met with the astronaut of the European Space Agency Mathias Maurer and discussed the details of his preparation for the upcoming flight to the International Space Station, Roscosmos announced.
According to the institution, training at the Yury Gagarin center are an integral part of the preparation of astronauts for upcoming space missions.
