Large Data Center to Open in Moscow’s Technopolis

Until the end of the year, a new research and production complex, CSCO System Solutions, will be put into operation in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Technopolis in Moscow’s Zelenograd district, Zelao.ru reported.

The complex, built by investor and developer GDC Energy Group, has a total area of 32 thousand square meters. The area includes an administrative office building, a data center building with a machine room, and a technical unit. It will be one of the largest data centers in Russia for storing and processing information arrays, the company said.

According to the chairman of Mosgosstroynadzor, the Russian capital’s urban planning authority, Oleg Antosenko, the actual construction work on the site is completed, and the developer received a conclusion about the compliance of the constructed building with the requirements of technical regulations and project documentation.

“Today, documents are being issued for issuing permits for commissioning the facility,” said Antosenko. According to him, this will happen in the 4th quarter of this year.

The construction of the administrative and production complex by SAPFIR-INVEST is also being completed at the Alabushevo site.

Previously, an administrative and business center with an exhibition complex, а complex of buildings of ITC LLC and a customs post were put into operation in the Special Economic Zone.
