Russian space agency Roscosmos is planning to develop a new national orbital station with a higher-efficiency factor than the one of the ISS (International Space Station), Dmitry Rogozin, the CEO of Roscosmos stated on Saturday, TASS informed.
Rogozin said that the efficiency factor he is talking about would be an order of magnitude higher than the one of the International Space Station.
Rogozin also revealed that this new orbital space station, which is set to start with deployment in 5 to 6 years, will contain AI and will include some extravehicular robots.
Rogozin thinks that the new station together with the nuclear-powered space tug named Zeus might serve as a prototype for upcoming systems used for long interplanetary flights.
