Sheremetyevo Airport served almost 11.4 million passengers during January-June this year, the airport’s press service said.
The number of passengers since the beginning of the year amounted to 11 million and 369 thousand people, which is an increase of 16.4% more than the same period in 2020.
Passenger traffic in June reached 2 million 980 thousand people, which is 378.4% more than the corresponding period in 2020. In just six months of 2021, 99 thousand takeoff and landing operations (VPO) were performed, the press service noted.
In the first half of 2021, Sheremetyevo Airport served 2 million and 499 thousand passengers on international air lines (MVL), and 8 million and 870 thousand passengers on domestic air lines (IDL).
During June, the passenger traffic on the international line amounted to 654 thousand people. At the same time, the number of passengers on the domestic line reached 2 million and 326 thousand people.
