Power of Siberia Pipeline Ships Record Gas Volumes to China

Gazprom said on Wednesday that gas shipments to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline had reached an all-time high and are now 5% higher than obligations, TASS reports.

China’s gas supplies from the Power of Siberia continue to increase. On August 26, daily shipments surpassed the absolute record for the fourth time this year, and were more than 5% more than Gazprom’s daily contract commitments, according to the firm.

The group’s gas production is expected to increase by 55 billion cubic meters to more than 510 billion cubic meters, according to previous reports. This year, gas shipments to Europe are expected to total 183 billion cubic meters.
