Russia Suspends Supplies Through Yamal-Europe Gas Pipeline

Russia has halted gas shipments through the Yamal-Europe pipeline until July 10 due to scheduled maintenance, Sputnik news reports.

Consumers have agreed on the date of the gas pipeline maintenance, according to the message.

Yamal – Europe travels from Russia to Belarus, Poland, and Germany. It is responsible for 25% of Russian “blue fuel” exports to Europe.

According to the European Commission, 10 billion cubic meters of gas went via the pipeline in the fourth quarter of last year, 15 billion through Nord Stream, and 14 billion through Ukraine.

Radio Sputnik reported that Gazprom had not reserved infrastructure for gas transit through Poland and Ukraine in the next year.
